The Greatest Story: A Journey Through The Bible

The Greatest Story are picture books that takes students on a journey through the Bible. There are two different books for different English abilities: a high-beginner book and a high-intermediate book. The books can be used as a Bible study or as part of an ESL lesson. These picture books seek to make the story of the Bible understandable for ESL students.

The books explain that after people fall into sin, God makes a way for them to come back to himself. He promises to send a Savior. His plan of salvation is progressively revealed through the story of redemption. The substitutionary death of the lamb points forward to the Perfect Lamb of God.

The students will read the picture captions, match vocabulary words with definitions and work through discussion questions for each lesson. The pictures can also be used to practice telling the story. Each lesson will take approximately 15-20 minutes.

About the Author

Tone Hess worked with Ethnos360 for 20 years church planting and training cross-cultural students in discipleship and in culture and language acquisition in three different countries. Since 2016 she has helped resettle immigrants and has taught ESL in Harrisburg, PA. She provides training and assistance to ESL programs.
